As I entered the storm of Inquiry Learning, I went in search of different perspectives which may serve to 'clear the weather' with regards to my research question “Inquiry-based learning in secondary schools: implications for teacher professional development”.
My search garnered differing results, from ranging from frameworks for implementing inquiry-based learning, to opportunities within the National Curriculum to adopt an inquiry approach to learning, to perspectives regarding effective professional development for pedagogical change. I chose Scoop-it! to curate my content, and have included a link to my curation here. A snapshot of the curation can also be found below:
I think it's fair to say that, after much searching, I am certainly in the thick of the knowledge storm. In order to start to feel like the weather was clearing (as well as my mind), I developed an infograph representing some of my musings to date.
After this process, I think I can now start to see the sun emerge from the clouds...could there be a day at the beach in my future???
